How To Make Szechuan Beef

Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns, crushed
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Steamed rice, for serving
Instructions

In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over high heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant.

Add beef slices to the pan and cook until browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, crushed Szechuan peppercorns, chili flakes, cornstarch, and water.

Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the beef and cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef evenly.

Stir in sliced green onions and cook for an additional minute.
